YouTube Content Creators I Look Up To.

So if you know me personally, you will know that I adore YouTube. I watch videos from many mind blowing YouTubers every day, and I thought I’d shed some light on some extremely talented and hardworking content creators who I look up to and who inspire me. I’ve always been interested in film, and some of the filmmakers and YouTubers I’m about to mention create top-quality videos that rival those you’d see on the big screen, those who have hundreds of people working on them, and budgets high into the millions. I feel like the videos put up on YouTube are sometimes even better, because it really feels like there is a community around the YouTuber, and it’s a lot more personal than a Hollywood blockbuster. With no further ado, here are some phenomenal YouTube content creators that make me jump for joy every time I see their videos pop up in my subscription box.

The Michalacks.

It’s hard for me to believe that I’ve been watching Hannah and Stef’s weekly vlogs for over a year now. Their videos are the kind that you watch, and think that they’ve set the bar too high for themselves, but every vlog seems to be even better than the last. I just can’t put into words how much their videos make my week. Hannah and Stef live in London with their toddler Grayson, quite possibly the cutest child I’ve ever seen in my life. The vlogs are like weekly video diaries, and they document the things they did during the week with their cameras. Their quality footage and Stef’s editing results in a 20-30 minute video, uploaded on a Sunday afternoon, and is full of Stef and Hannah’s interesting thoughts and quirky humour, lots of shots of little Grayson that would melt even the coldest of hearts, and as Stef likes to put it, an abundance of “silky montages” that make me want to pick up a camera and start filming right there and then. Add to the mix some cool folksy music, beautiful shots of London, a vespa, and a lot of makeup bag wrapping, and you have yourself a Michalack vlog! If you haven’t already, I’d highly recommend checking out their channel and supporting them with all the thumbs up’s, comments, and subscribing to them too, and soon enough, the Michalack vlog will be the best part of your week.

Casey Neistat.

I can’t decide who’s my favourite, Casey Neistat or the Michalack’s. Both vloggers are very different, but have the most astounding quality videos on the whole of YouTube. Casey is a filmmaker from New York, and he uploads a vlog every day, each one starting off with the most amazing time-lapses, and his signature musical sequence that I’m playing in my head right now as I write this blogpost. He is the only daily vlogger that I can watch religiously, because every vlog is different and keeps the viewer on their toes. He’s always doing or saying something interesting, and he makes me want to pack up my bags and move to New York, because he makes the place look so appealing with his amazing camerawork and storytelling. He’s currently working on his “new company” which viewers know nothing about, so it’s cool to see behind the scenes of that. His New York office is so cool, I could only hope and dream that I’d get to work in a space like that when I’m older. Every one of his vlogs is like a short film, such amazing quality, and I’d love to some day be as good as him.

HeyClaire.

I’m just going to say it; Claire Marshall may be the coolest person alive! She’s a makeup-artist who started a YouTube channel, and it’s so obvious that she has a background in the beauty industry, because that girl has skills! What I love the most about Claire’s videos is her editing and camerawork. She’s one of the only beauty YouTuber’s I’ve seen who has really perfected these two things, and I’d recommend watching her even if you don’t have an interest in makeup, because she turns makeup-centred videos into film-quality pieces. She’s also a vlogger, and by now you’ve probably guessed that I’m a sucker for a good vlog! Her videos are just so clean and crisp, and so perfectly timed. I’d recommend checking out her “What’s In My Handbag” and her “Vanity Tour,” she always takes such a different approach to her videos and you can tell the amount of work she puts into them. I also love her personality, she’s always herself and never puts on a front for the cameras, She’s “real” if you know what I mean. Soon you’ll be just as blown away and envious as I am of Claire’s ability to create magic with a lens. Plus she always responds to me on Twitter, which I think says a lot about a YouTuber! Go watch her and you’ll instantly see why I love her so much.

JacksGap

JacksGap are very big fish in the YouTube sea. They have millions of subscribers, and rightfully so, because they have such a high standard for their videos. I wouldn’t even call them YouTubers, they’re more filmmakers in my opinion, like everyone on this list. They have so much different kinds of videos on their channel, from their “Following Heart” series to their “Shed Sessions,” shedding light on some amazing musicians from their backyard. The best way that I can describe Jack and Finn’s creations, are that they’re poetry in the form of video. My favourite video they have ever done is “A Film For Ella,” where Jack spontaneously travels to Australia to surprise his girlfriend for her birthday. To me, that video is like a modern-day fairytale. I’d be surprised if you haven’t already heard of the incredible Jack and Finn, but definitely check their channel out if you haven’t already!

That concludes my list of my favourite YouTube content creators, I hope you got a few ideas of new channels to watch! If you think I have missed anyone, please comment who you love below in the comments section, because I’m always on the lookout for new creative and quality YouTubers. Thanks for reading and I’ll be back very soon with a new post! Until then, you can catch up with me on Twitter and Instagram, and of course I’d love the YouTubers mentioned to see how much I love them, so if you want, I’d really appreciate it if you linked this post to them.
