Welcome back to Sunny Like July! I've been trying to post every two days, and to be honest I completely forgot that I had to put a blogpost up today, and I had nothing prepared! So before I went out and about today, I thought I'd just empty out the contents of my bag and take a few quick pictures. Sorry this post isn't up to my usual standard, I'm still getting used to frequent posting! But here is what I'd take with me for a day at the beach/pool.
Bikini:
I always bring a spare bikini with me in case I want to go in swimming twice. The blue bikini top photographed is from FOREVER 21 and the navy bottoms are from Penneys.
Sun Cream: I always bring this Garnier SPF 50 sun cream, because my fair skin does not handle hot days well.
Water: Quite self-explanatory really, I always carry around a 500ml bottle to keep hydrated.
Body Mist & Deodorant: To spray on after I go for a swim or if I get a bit sweaty in the heat. The body spray is from Ted Baker, and the deodorant is JÁSÖN Fragrance Free Pure Natural Deodorant Stick.
Makeup wipes: I sometimes wear some light makeup during the summer, but I always take it off before swimming, and makeup wipes are the easiest way to remove makeup on the go. My favourites to use are the Simple Kind To Skin Cleansing Wipes, photographed above.
Sunglasses: I like to buy my sunglasses in Penneys/Primark because I usually lose them or they get scratched at the bottom of my bag. They're definitely a beach/pool essential though!
Wide-tooth comb: Always useful to brush out those saltwater-induced tangles.
Book: I love to read beside the pool or the sea, so I always pack a book in my holiday bag. The one I'm reading now is "The Darkest Minds" by Alexandra Bracken.
A5 Sketchpad & Pencils: I love to bring this miniature sketchpad with me on sunny days just in case I sporadically feel like drawing something. This mini sketchpad is from Tiger, and the pencils I use are watercolour Faber-Castell ones.
