I'm in Love with Cities I've Never Been To.

If there was one quote that I think would describe me well, it would be that one that everyone thought was in Paper Towns, but actually wasn't, and it goes something like "I'm in love with places I've never been to, and people I've never met." I think a lot about the future, it's something that I'm trying not to do so much, I'm trying to take every day as it comes, but I cannot wait to go traveling, exploring, and adventuring around the world. I'd say I think about my (hopeful) future travels every day. I say "hopeful," because there is a possibility that somehow I may not be able to fulfill this huge dream of mine, because maybe I won't have the money, or I'll be tied down to a job, and that is my worst nightmare. But I don't think that will happen if I'm honest.

Even though I'm only fifteen, I'm already saving up to go traveling, That's how eager I am! One of the reasons I started blogging, other than just loving having a place where I can write, take pictures, and just be creative, is to build up an audience, so than one day, if I want, I could become a travel blogger/vlogger and make a bit of money from documenting it, so I could travel even more! I just love visiting new places, where everything isn't of the norm to me, and I like to see different beautiful things, and, from my experience, every place I've travelled to has been even better than I thought it was going to be, and I have very high expectations! So I thought I'd dedicate a blogpost to my longing to travel, all some of the places that I want to travel to, and I thought I'd also show you my "travel journal," that I made. Hope you enjoy!

1. London
Perhaps my favourite place that I've ever been to. Last year I went on a day trip to London, and it was one of the best days of my life! There is just so much to see and do in that wonderful city, and it's so busy and lively, and it just makes me feel very excited. I know when I'm older, I definitely want to live in a big city, and my plan is to move into a flat just outside London, because I think it's a very inspiring place. Plus, Hannah Maggs vlogs make me want to move to London so bad. Also, just thinking about Oxford Street at Christmas makes me want to burst!

2. Scandinavia
I've always been fascinated with Scandinavia, and I'd love to go on a road trip to explore all the little towns and places in Sweden and Norway. I think Scandinavia is a really beautiful place, especially the amazing scenery, mountains, cliffs, waterfalls and glaciers, and I really want to see all those things with my own eyes. Some particular places I want to go to are: the Blue Lagoon hotsprings in Iceland, Copenhagen, and Stockholm. There's something about the Scandinavian culture, architecture, and and attitude that I really like. And their street-style is amazing too!

3. Greek Islands
If heaven was a place on Earth, I'm pretty sure this is what it would look like. I think that the islands of Santorini, Mykonos, Corfu, Kastelorizo, and the rest of them just look idyllic. The white houses look pristine, and the sea looks like blue-tinted glass, and is so clear you can see the shadow of your boat on the ocean floor. The sky would be cloudless and I can see myself being very happy wandering around the picturesque little villages and in a sun hat, and a little dress taking lots of pictures and having lunch in small little cafés. (As you can probably tell, I think about Santorini way too much.)

4. Prague, Czech Republic
The architecture in Prague is absolutely beautiful, and Prague looks like such a beautiful city. Definitely in my top ten places that I want to visit. Other European places that I really want to go to are Austria, Croatia, Budapest (Budapest is another big one for me) Germany and Belgium. When I go traveling I really want to go on an inter-railing trip to these European countries. And I'm a little bit excited because there is a small possibility that I might be going to Belgium next year!

5. New York
I'm definitely a city person, and New York is the biggest city in the world. It also never sleeps apparently, which is good because neither do I if I'm honest. It looks like such an interesting, creative place, full of opportunities, and I can definitely see myself as a New Yorker in the future. Plus, Casey Neistat makes New York look amazing. And how could I forget about how Gossip Girl makes me want to drop everything and move to a townhouse in Manhattan! I also want to explore America, and one place that I am probably going to be going to next Easter is Austin, in Texas. Austin is a place that I really want to visit, and it will be my first time going on a trip without my parents, which is very exciting as well. I'm also obsessed with San Francisco, and I would love to visit that city too.

6. New Zealand
New Zealand looks breath-taking. It looks like a place with the most amazing landscapes, with really tall cliffs, and lots of coastlines. It also has some amazing cities like Auckland and Queenstown that I really want to go to. I also want to go to Australia and visit some of the cities there, because the Australian and Kiwi cities are some of the best in the world. I want to go to Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Tasmania, and of course I want to go to Bondi.

7. As amazing as it is the visit all these places, I don't think I would be content with myself if I didn't go to some of the poorer countries in the world to see what conditions many people have to live in. For myself, I think seeing it first-hand would really put into perspective now lucky I am. I really want to spend at least one summer of my life volunteering in an African or Asian country where poverty is a big issue.

8. Amsterdam
From what I've gathered, Amsterdam is my kind of city. It seems like a cool artsy place, and I just love the buildings there. (I don't know if you can tell, but I'm kind obsessed with infrastructure.) I'd love to take a boat down the canals, prance around like a unicorn in a field of tulips, and cycle around the city and explore.

9. Paris
How could I not include Paris is this list? There is something very classy and sophisticated about that place, and I feel like I would instantly fall in love with it. Thinking of visiting Paris really motivates me to study my French in school too, which is always a good thing! I just love everything about Paris, from the Champs-Élysées to the renowned Boulangerie's, the museums and galleries like the Louvre and the Musée d'Orsay, and of course the stunning Paris Opera House. If I ever did visit Paris (which I am determined that I will) I would go full-out Blair Waldorf, and splurge in Louis Vuitton and Jimmy Choo, and eat like a queen. I also think the street-style in Paris is amazing, and so put together. What a wonderful city!

10. Ireland
Even though I live in Ireland, I haven't seen half as much of it as I would like to and I really want to visit more places here. I love Dublin, I go up there quite frequently, it's a great city. I also love Cork, I think I know my way around Cork more than I know my way around my own city! One of my favourite places is Dingle, it's surrounded by beautiful scenery, and is home to the best ice-cream I have ever tasted (Murphy's Ice-cream.) I really want to visit The Dark Hedges in Northern Ireland, which is a forest that looks like it came from Tolkien's Lord Of The Rings. On the top of my Irish bucket list is Belfast, I've never been before, and it looks very impressive.

If you made it all the way down to the end of this blogpost I commend you. I think this is the longest blogpost I've ever written. There are so many more destinations that I should mention, but it's 12:30 at night as I write this, and I don't really want this blogpost to turn into a novel, so I'll leave you now! Please do leave a comment down below telling me where you have traveled/want to travel to. Thanks for reading and I'll be back in two days with a new post!
