Shoot For The Stars, and You'll Land On The Moon.

There’s a saying that I think about quite a lot, and it goes something like: “Aim for the stars, and if things don’t work out, you’ll still land on the moon.” What I interpret this quote to mean, is to aim really high, and if your plans don’t succeed, you’ll still have done pretty well for yourself. That’s how I hope to live my life, although I’d be perfectly happy landing among the stars too!

So I’m going to apply this theory to my list of things that I want to achieve this summer. I’ll make it really condensed and full to the brim, and try have everything ticked off by the end of August. But if I get almost everything done, that will still be a huge achievement.

  1. Make over 1000 euro. I have a job for the summer, and I need at least 1000 euro to buy the camera and equipment I want to have for next year, and I want a little on the side to spend and save too.
  2. Read 6 books. So far I’ve almost read one, so I’m a bit behind on this, but I’m sure I’ll be able to catch up!
  3. Learn how to play the guitar well.
  4. Put up three blogposts a week. All written well and with top quality photographs too. I’d also be over the moon if I had around 50 followers by the ed of the summer. I know that’s pretty much double the amount I have now, but I plan on releasing much more frequent,  much more quality content. I don’t see why it can’t be reached! I’d also like to better my other social medias, like Instagram and Twitter. Make them more professional, if you know what I mean. All this is going to be quite a difficult task with basically no internet though!
  5. Draw something everyday, and have loads of sketches and ideas for big pieces and works that I want to start come September.
  6. Swim in the cold, cold sea, almost every day.
  7. Write in my diary every night before I go to sleep. I always try to start diaries, but I’m just awful at commitment. So I’m going to try and write a load.
  8. Speaking of writing, I want to start writing a book, and have it finished by November/December. So I better get started on that soon, I want to have a good few chapters done by August.
  9. Be able to do the splits!

Those are my main nine projects for July and August. I better get started if I want to have anything done by the end of the summer! If you have any summer goals, please leave them in the comments section. Let’s all motivate each other people!

Right now where I am, it’s sunny like July for once! Thanks for reading - Clio.
